Netflix fans have just over a week to watch the controversial horror film Night Swim before it is removed from the platform on Thursday, May 7. The movie, starring Wyatt Russell and Kerry Condon, follows a family renovating their swimming pool, which is haunted by a malevolent force.
Produced by horror heavyweights James Wan and Jason Blum, the film has divided audiences since its 2024 release. On IMDb, one viewer praised it as 'par for the course for a horror movie,' noting strong acting and an intriguing plot, but criticised inconsistent monster effects. Another called it 'unfairly rated' and compared it favourably to Sinister.
However, critics have been harsh, with a 19% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. One reviewer said it 'failed big time,' while another described it as 'more of a family drama than a horror movie.' Despite the mixed reception, some fans loved it, with one calling it 'everything I could have possibly wanted from a movie about a haunted pool.'
The film also features Amélie Hoeferle, Gavin Warren, Jodi Long, Nancy Lenehan, Eddie Martinez, and Ben Sinclair. Viewers have until May 7 to stream it on Netflix before it disappears from the platform.
