Former England striker Michael Owen is giving viewers a glimpse into his sprawling Welsh manor in a new Prime Video docuseries, Meet the Owens. The six-part show features interviews with his wife Louise Bonsall and their four children: Gemma, James, Emily, and Jessica.
The £4m Estate
Owen's Grade II-listed Elizabethan manor house is located in Flintshire, north-east Wales, set within 42 acres of countryside. Valued at £4 million, the property includes a private gym, heated indoor swimming pool, hot tub, waterfall feature, games room, bar area, private cinema, and outdoor cottages, flats, a coachhouse, and three greenhouses.
The home previously appeared on ITV's Through the Keyhole in 2019, hosted by Keith Lemon.
Family Life and Horse Racing
In the trailer, Owen plays football with his family. His wife Louise quips, "This better be a b***** good kick." After Owen swears at his attempt, she adds, "After all that. I could have done a better job than that!" Owen jokes his children are "not a***d" about his talents and call him "embarrassing."
The documentary also explores Owen's horse racing business. He reveals he has "about 140" horses but warns, "We could lose £1million this year."
Meet the Owens premieres on Prime Video on August 28.
