Harry Styles Fans Report Turnstile Issues at Wembley Stadium

Harry Styles fans have expressed frustration after some concertgoers reported problems with turnstiles during the singer's Wembley Stadium residency. The 32-year-old Brit Award winner kicked off the UK leg of his Together, Together world tour with two sold-out shows on Friday and Saturday, supported by Shania Twain.

Journalist and Unscripted founder Saskia Marriott, who travelled from Manchester, said a malfunctioning turnstile nearly left her locked out despite holding valid tickets. In a TikTok video viewed nearly 630,000 times, Marriott explained that after scanning two tickets on her phone, her friend attempted to pass through but the turnstile failed to rotate fully. When she scanned her own ticket, the barrier locked, leaving her outside while her friend was inside.

Marriott told The Standard that a steward informed her the problem had affected multiple people at the same gate. She was directed to the Wembley box office, where Ticketmaster staff printed a replacement ticket. However, she questioned why a backup process was not in place if turnstile failures were known. “Imagine if you've got kids. You can't just leave a seven-year-old on one side of the barrier for 20 minutes,” she said.

Two other TikTok videos, with a combined 280,000 views, show concertgoers encountering the same issue, though both eventually gained entry. Poppy Brown, who travelled from Cornwall, claimed she was turned away after scanning her ticket and handing her phone to her mother. Directed to the box office, she alleged she was told tickets could not be reissued and was advised to buy new ones via a QR code. Brown had purchased her tickets through a second-hand vendor.

The four videos have amassed over 1.8 million views and more than 1,100 comments, with dozens sharing similar experiences. Some fans noted that not all reports specified whether tickets were bought directly from Ticketmaster or via resale platforms, which can be vulnerable to duplication or fraud. A Wembley Stadium spokesperson said: “There were no operational issues with the stadium turnstiles over the weekend... We are aware of a very small number of isolated cases where people encountered an issue on entry and are investigating.”
