Bridgerton mega-fan from County Durham whisked to Paris premiere in Netflix fairytale

Netflix has marked the launch of Bridgerton's fourth season by treating a devoted fan to an extravagant journey to the world premiere in Paris. Teaching assistant Sophie, from County Durham, who supports children with special educational needs, was entered into a competition by her friend and colleague Hannah.

The competition, announced by Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel), invited fans to win a trip to the premiere. Sophie was surprised with a horse-drawn carriage ride, a Regency-era ballroom, and encounters with members of the cast. She had initially believed she was attending a first aid course before the elaborate surprise was revealed.

The fourth season follows Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and his secret affair with housemaid Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). The first four episodes were released on 29th January, with the remaining instalments due on 26th February.
