Prince William and Prince Harry could be set to clash further next year, as the estranged brothers are reportedly considering different ways to commemorate their late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, on the 30th anniversary of her death. The beloved royal passed away back in 1997, with William and Harry aged just 12 and 15 at the time of her death.
William weighing offers
Both William and Harry appeared in a documentary in 2017 to mark the 20th anniversary of Diana's death, but next year could look a little different. William has reportedly been "approached with many offers", according to the Daily Mail's diary editor Richard Eden, who recently spoke to a source. The source also added that William is "thinking hard about what to do [to commemorate the sad anniversary]."
The 44-year-old has been estranged from his younger brother and sister-in-law since their bombshell interview in 2021. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who recently moved back to the UK, appeared in a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey one year after they stepped down as senior working royals.
Harry's documentary plans
Much like his brother, Harry is also weighing up ways to mark the anniversary, with reports that he wants to produce a documentary about their late mother. Harry, 42, has reportedly contacted many of Diana's friends and family to appear in the documentary.
A source close to Harry said: "The duke has discussed a number of possible projects. Nothing has been finalised or confirmed, and he is still considering the most meaningful way to honour his mother’s legacy during this important anniversary year."
No contact between brothers
Although Harry and Meghan have been back in the UK since the end of August, it is thought that the Prince and Princess of Wales have not been in contact with the couple. Both brothers are also dealing with the release of their uncle, Earl Spencer's, bombshell new book, Swan Song.
