Oasis has announced a 42-date world tour for 2027, but London is missing from the schedule. The Britpop icons will play across the UK, Europe and the US from May to September 2027, with UK dates including five shows in Glasgow, 11 in Manchester and six at Knebworth.
No official reason for London omission
There has been no official explanation for why London is absent from the Oasis Live '27 tour. The band played seven sold-out Wembley shows during their 2025 reunion, while the new tour focuses on other major UK locations, including Manchester, Glasgow and Knebworth.
Knebworth could serve as the tour's southern England stop, with the venue marking more than 30 years since Oasis' iconic 1996 shows. However, this has not been confirmed as the reason for skipping London.
Fans react to the snub
The nearest gig for Londoners is in Knebworth, a 20 to 40 minute train journey from King's Cross or St Pancras International, or a 30-mile drive from central London expected to take hours on concert day. Fans in the capital have called the choice a "snub".
"You saw everyone in London wearing bucket hats and Adidas tops last year, it was such a good vibe. It feels like a missed opportunity not to do it all over again," said one disappointed fan. "London is so much better setup for this than anywhere else. Everyone who was at Knebworth the first time said the sound was rubbish!," they added.
"Only Manchester? No London? It's gonna be even harder to get a ticket than last year," said another, whilst a fourth added: "Nothing in London, meh." Another fan said: "It's really exciting that Oasis are back next year. I saw them at Wembley Stadium two years ago and it was one of the best nights of my life. I'm just gutted they're not coming back to the capital, it does feel like a bit of a snub."
Support for the decision
However, others praised the decision to leave the capital off the list. "They don't owe nothing to London, they were made in the North, by the North. Londoners get to see any act they want to at the O2 or Wembley, can't they make the trip up to Manchester once in a while?" "Why not support local economies in the UK outside one of the richest cities in the world?" "You lot get everything, so shush," said another user in response to a complaining fan from the capital.
When the band announced the tour, they shared a post on Instagram declaring: "START THE CELEBRATIONS!!!!" The statement continued: "After a period of reflection 'The Most Damaging Pop Cultural Force In Recent British History' has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people. Come witness the fitness. It shall be a sight to behold."
Tour dates and venues
Hopes of another set of shows were all but confirmed when the Gallagher brothers used a huge drone display which lit up Manchester's Etihad Stadium to reveal that an announcement was coming on Monday, September 14 at 4pm. The group set the internet ablaze in 2024 when they announced that they would be going on tour the following year - the first time since the band split in 2009.
The 2027 tour dates include: May 21, 23, 25, 28 and 29 at Celtic Park, Glasgow; June 4, 6, 8, 11, 12, 15, 18, 19, 22, 25 and 26 at Etihad Stadium, Manchester; July 2, 3 and 6 at Allianz Arena, Munich; July 10 and 11 at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, Barcelona; July 16 and 17 at Johan Cruijff Arena, Amsterdam; July 20 and 23 at Stade de France, Paris; July 26, 29 and 30 at Stadio Olimpico, Rome; August 10, 13 and 14 at Gillette Stadium, Boston; August 20, 21 and 24 at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas; September 4 and 5 at Slane Castle, Ireland; and September 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26 at Knebworth, UK.
