Why Princess Kate and Princess Eugenie Remain Distant
Why Princess Kate and Princess Eugenie Remain Distant

The Princess of Wales and Princess Eugenie, despite sharing a school and an interest in art, have rarely been seen together outside formal royal duties. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail that Kate does not have "much in common" with either of the York sisters, noting that Eugenie appears closer to Prince Harry.

The divide may date back to their time at Marlborough College. While Kate kept a low profile academically, Eugenie was involved in a 2008 incident where she and a dozen other students were caught dancing naked on the college lawns after a night of drinking. A staff member described it as "high jinks at the end of term."

Kate, who later earned a master's in Art History at St Andrews and married Prince William in 2011, has pursued a path distinctly different from Eugenie, who works as a director at the Hauser & Wirth art gallery. Their professional lives and charitable work place them in different circles within the Royal Family, according to observers.
