Vito Coppola reveals hopes to become a father one day

Strictly Come Dancing star Vito Coppola has made a rare revelation about his love life as he opened up about his hopes for the future. The dancer is set to return to the BBC competition next month, hoping to win the Glitterball Trophy with a celebrity partner once again.

Career and past speculation

The 33-year-old first lifted the trophy in 2023 alongside Coronation Street star Ellie Leach. At the time, there was huge speculation that they were more than friends, though the pair always denied this was the case.

Last year, Vito appeared to go Instagram official with Valentina Sica, though with no new photographs of the pair together for several months, it’s unclear whether they’re still a couple.

Hopes for the future

During an appearance on Alan Carr and Lee Peart's Bottoms Up! podcast, Vito revealed that he would love to become a father one day and spoke of the "three loves of his life".

"I would love to have three or five [children]," he shared with the hosts. "Or we could go to seven, it depends."

Explaining his choice of numbers, the Italian dancer said he had always been a fan of odd numbers. "Yeah, I've always liked [them]," he added, before explaining that it was "perfect" to be in a group of three on the podcast.

Vito did not reveal whether there is currently a partner in his life, but he did make a reference to the three things he loves most.

His latest book

Discussing why he wrote his latest book, he said: "It started because, I wanted to share not just my story, but I just wanted to share my three loves of my life, food, my family and dancing."

"Basically when I am alone, away from home, when I'm abroad, since I was a kid [I've been] travelling, the only thing that has always been with me has been food," he added.

"Imagine food as an entity, so food became my best friend, so don't just think of food as something you eat and you put in your body.

"If you think of food as something a bit deeper, food has been with me in my lowest moments," he went on to say, before adding that he is an emotional eater.

Practice with Dianne's baby

Should Vito ever become a dad himself, he has seemingly been getting some practice with his co-star Dianne Buswell's baby.

The dancer gave birth to her first child, a boy named Bowie, with Joe Sugg back in March and has been sharing updates with fans ever since.

Featured in some of her posts is "Uncle Vito", who is seen gushing over her son. Previously discussing just how close they are, Dianne said he was one of the first people she told about her pregnancy.

Following her birth, he shared a picture of him looking down at Bowen in his crib, alongside the caption: "Little Bowen [has] already stolen my heart."
