Children enrolled in UK school
The couple reportedly enrolled their children in a school in the UK, a move insiders suggest had been in the works for some time. However, sources say the King was only told about the move a few days before it was revealed to the public, even though the couple had apparently been considering it for the past year.
They will not return to the UK in any official royal capacity, but all eyes will be on the family to see if a reunion happens, especially between Prince William and Prince Harry, who have developed a major rift over the past few years.
Critic calls story 'utter rubbish'
One of Harry and Meghan's main critics has taken aim at the couple in a latest interview. Lady Colin Campbell, who has published several unauthorised books about the Royal Family and been a staunch critic of Meghan and Harry, called their UK move story "utter rubbish".
In an interview with Maureen Callahan on her YouTube show The Nerve, Lady C discussed how Harry and Meghan did not inform King Charles III of their plans, even though they were in the works for a year.
"Harry knew because they were looking at schools while they were here," she said, referring to Harry and Meghan's trip to the UK in July.
"There is also the cockenbull story that's been making the rounds that they couldn't tell the King until the school had confirmed that they were going to accept the children. That's utter rubbish."
Previous criticism of Prince Harry
She continued: "Anybody that I have ever known in any country I have lived in who had any status whatsoever, you pitch up at a prep school that you want your children to go to, and it is obvious that your children are going to be accepted."
Lady Colin Campbell is no stranger to taking aim at Prince Harry. In 2021, she claimed that Prince Harry would be "unable" to write a book because he had failed at Eton. "He also has a very efficient, aggressive, one could almost say imaginative ghostwriter," she claimed at the time, before Harry released Spare. "You know, a good writer makes the story better than it really is. He has hired a good writer; he’s going to make the story better than it really is."
