Actress Sophie Winkleman has revealed that her wedding hairstyle looked “disgusting” and that her husband still gets upset about it. She married Lord Frederick Windsor, son of the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, in 2009 at Hampton Court Palace.
Bride's regret over hairstyle
Speaking previously on The Daily T podcast, Sophie said: “Freddie still gets upset about it (the hairstyle). It was just disgusting.”
This is not the first time the royal has spoken about the matter. She once told Tatler: “I was so determined not to be a bridezilla, I didn’t even work out my hairstyle, and I cannot tell you how disgusting it looked.
“Coming up the aisle, the first thing I said when I saw Freddie was, ‘I’m so sorry about the hair.’ He said, ‘Yes, what on earth have you done?’”
Wedding planning left to others
At the time, Sophie was preparing for a new acting job in Los Angeles and left much of the wedding planning to other people. She also did not spend time deciding on her hairstyle, which she now seems to regret.
Despite the hairstyle mishap, the couple's marriage has been successful. Since marrying, they moved to Los Angeles and then back to London. They are now parents to two daughters, Maud and Isabella.
