Queen Camilla stuns in red for Oman state visit at Windsor

Queen Camilla wore a striking all-red ensemble on Tuesday as she welcomed the Sultan of Oman to Windsor for a state visit, joining King Charles and the Princess of Wales at the royal dais on Datchet Road.

The 79-year-old opted for a vibrant red wool crepe dress and matching coat, custom-made by designer Fiona Clare, bringing colour to the autumnal day. Her outfit was completed with a matching red hat by milliner Philip Treacy.

Oman's colours honoured

Camilla and Princess Catherine honoured their guests by wearing Oman's colours, red and green. The elegant outerwear complemented the grandeur of the historic occasion.

A ruby and diamond flower brooch pinned to Camilla's lapel added sparkle to the bold outfit, making a regal statement for the arrival of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

Ceremonial welcome and procession

The royal welcome took place at the Royal Dais on Datchet Road, Windsor, accompanied by a Royal Salute fired at the Home Park and the Tower of London.

Following the official greeting, Their Majesties and the Waleses joined the Sultan in a traditional carriage procession through Windsor town, leading to the quadrangle of Windsor Castle for an inspection of the Guard of Honour.

State banquet this evening

The town of Windsor is locked down for the high-profile visit, which will culminate in a white-tie state banquet in St George's Hall this evening.
