Queen Camilla stole the show today as she arrived at the King's official birthday parade, Trooping the Colour, wearing a striking red and black ensemble. The Queen made her way down the Mall in central London alongside other members of the Royal Family for the annual event.
A Dazzling Appearance
Camilla looked elegant in a red silk crepe Grenadier Guards uniform dress designed by Fiona Clare. She paired the outfit with a black Philip Treacy beret featuring a white plume and a Grenadier Guards cap badge. Additionally, she wore the Grenadier Guards' brooch on her chest, showcasing her support for the regiment being trooped.
The Grenadier Guards
The Grenadier Guards are the most senior infantry regiment in the British Army. They were originally raised in Belgium in 1656 as bodyguards to Prince Charles, later King Charles II, who was in exile. Ten years later, the regiment became known as the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards. Since its formation, the regiment has earned 78 Battle Honours and 14 Victoria Crosses.
Camilla's choice of attire reflected the regiment's colours, adding a personal touch to the celebrations. The Queen's appearance was widely praised, with many noting her impeccable style and grace.
