The Princess of Wales held an under-the-radar meeting at Windsor Castle this week, it has emerged. According to the Court Circular, the Royal Family's official record of engagements, Princess Catherine held a meeting with Sarah Henwood on Monday afternoon. Ms Henwood is the Royal Foundation's Chief Executive, of which Catherine is a joint patron. It is not known what the two women spoke about.
Prince William's Duchy of Cornwall meeting
Meanwhile, Catherine's husband, Prince William, was also busy. In the morning, the Prince of Wales also had a meeting at Windsor Castle. William, also known as the Duke of Cornwall, chaired a meeting of the Prince's Council. The council is also known as the board of the Duchy of Cornwall, which William inherited from his father, King Charles, upon his ascension to the throne. The council meets twice a year to advise its head on the management of the Duchy.
Recent Windsor Castle engagement
Just last week, Catherine hosted a tea party at Windsor Castle for fellow Three Peaks Challenge finishers, including a nine-year-old amputee and a runner who became the fastest person to complete the endurance challenge while running between each peak. The princess, who climbed the tallest peaks in Wales, Scotland and England in less than 24 hours in June, invited some of the people she met during her own climb for an intimate chat over tea and cake last Friday. Those invited for tea and cake included 11-year-old Ted Haslam, whom Catherine met several times during her challenge.
