The Princess of Wales has long embraced Halloween with her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, taking part in activities that many families will recognise.
In 2022, the royal mother was captured on a neighbour's CCTV doorbell camera taking her children trick-or-treating in London. The footage showed her standing by a gate, holding a heavy bag of sweet treats while her children waited in their costumes.
A Relatable Royal During the Spooky Season
This was not the only time the Princess has shown a down-to-earth side during the autumn festivities. In 2019, she was spotted doing a supermarket dash at the King's Lynn branch of Sainsbury's to pick up costumes for her children.
Onlookers watched as the royal browsed the holiday displays alongside a young George and Charlotte. One shopper told the Mirror at the time: "She was with Charlotte and George looking at Halloween outfits, but her bodyguard was kind of watching people with phones and telling them no pictures."
The shopper added: "I didn't see what she actually bought. The lady who told me she was there had children with her, and she said Kate was asking her children what they were going to be for Halloween. I think she bought some Halloween bits for her kids but I don't know what."
Prince George's Return for Half-Term
While this year's spooky plans have been kept private, Prince William and Kate are widely expected to celebrate the occasion with their children. Catherine recently confessed how much she has missed her eldest son, who has been boarding at Eton College since starting there last month.
The admission came during a surprise visit to a charity shop in Hoveton, near Norwich, run by East Anglia's Children's Hospices (Each), of which she is a patron. While chatting with local residents in the shop's cafe area, the Princess spoke about the 11-year-old prince's impending return for half-term, which officially begins this Monday, November 26.
Friends Denise Ashton, 68, and Essie Landsborough, 75, were enjoying a sit-down in the cafe when the Princess strolled over for a warm chat. Recalling the exchange, Ms Ashton revealed: "She said she's looking forward to George coming home – she's missed him."
