A well-known businessman in Co. Kerry is under police investigation after his wife made allegations of rape and cocaine-fuelled sex parties. The Garda Protective Services Unit is investigating the claims, which were reported to officers in recent weeks.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is understood to be cooperating with the probe, which is taking place in Ireland. The case has been compared to the Gisèle Pelicot case in France, where she accused her husband Dominique of rape and of arranging for her to be raped by dozens of other men while she was unconscious.
Allegations and Family Involvement
According to reports, the woman alleges she was coerced into non-consensual sex acts and that her husband arranged sex orgies involving other adults. She further accuses him of providing cocaine to participants.
The man comes from a well-respected and well-known family in the area. He has not been arrested by Gardaí and is understood to be cooperating with the investigation.
Tusla, the Child and Family Agency, has been notified due to the couple having children. There are no allegations of wrongdoing against the children, but the State body is aware due to the serious nature of the case.
