Five surprising facts about Princess Charlotte

Princess Charlotte, the nine-year-old daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales, has already established herself as a remarkable member of the royal family. Born in May 2015, she is third in line to the throne, and thanks to the Succession to the Crown Act 2013, her position was not affected by the birth of her younger brother, Prince Louis.

The young princess has picked up some Spanish from her nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, a native speaker. Sources previously told The Independent that by age three, Charlotte was “already chatting away in Spanish”.

She also enjoys cooking with her mother. Princess Kate revealed that Charlotte frequently helps make their favourite “cheesy pasta” and pizza dough, as reported by the Daily Mail.
