Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's return to the UK is set to escalate their feud with Prince William and Princess Kate. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to return to the UK later this year to live in a non-royal residence outside London, where their children, Archie and Lilibet, will attend school.
The news is said to have infuriated Prince William, who reportedly wants nothing to do with the couple, while King Charles was said to have only been told the news last Sunday.
Reconciliation hopes fade
With tensions high between the two couples, King Charles looks set for heartbreak, as any hopes of reconciliation between Harry and William seem unlikely. Speaking on TalkTV, Kevin O'Sullivan said: "Meanwhile, this is the shock development that William and Catherine never wanted.
"Be in no doubt. Close proximity will not bring peace to the furious brotherly feud. And the Prince and Princess of Wales will neither forgive nor forget the slings and arrows the Sussexes have thrown at them while selling Harry's regal relatives down the river."
Working royal arrangement blocked
To add to the awkwardness, Charles has instantly put the blocks on Harry's cherished desire for a half-in, half-out working royal arrangement. It's not going to happen. As a result, the Duke and Duchess will have to learn to live in Britain as private citizens.

Financial motives behind move
O'Sullivan added: "There's nothing left for them. Their only choice is, and they're coming back here, because possibly they can make money in Britain."
Gill added: "Meghan is gonna want to go back and forth. She hates the UK. And that's where I get to think, okay, I think Harry is driving this move. And what direction is that going to take for the relationship?"
O'Sullivan agreed: "A year ago, 6 months ago, uh, Harry didn't get a look in. She called the shots. He did exactly what she said. Now, suddenly, she's doing what he said.
"He's calling the shots. And the reason she's doing it is money. She can't make money as she used to. Absolute disaster. She might as well forget about it. She's not making any money. He's not making any money. Uh, so basically she sees Harry quite rightly as her meal ticket, and she's coming back to cash in on what she sees as a closer royal connection.
"But that close royal connection isn't going to happen. We are in for the most incredible tor soap opera. Because they'll be with Harry and Meghan in this country, William and Kate can't stand them. Camila hates them. The rest of the royals won't like it. As for what might happen at Sandringham during Christmas, if the king, knowing him to be a soppy guy that he is, invites Harry and Megan and the kids for Christmas. That means that William and Kate won't go."
