Prince Harry is expected to stay at Buckingham Palace during his upcoming visit to London, his spokesperson confirmed. The Duke of Sussex, 41, has formally accepted an invitation to reside at the palace for part of his stay this week as he attends the Invictus Games and other charity engagements.
Meghan and Children Not Joining
Meghan Markle and the couple's children, Prince Archie (7) and Princess Lilibet (5), will not accompany Harry on the London visit due to a lack of police security, sources indicated. It remains unclear whether they will join him for other segments of the UK trip.
Potential Royal Reunion
All eyes are on whether Harry will meet with his father, King Charles. The pair last met at Clarence House in September 2024 for tea, their first encounter since February of that year. Archie and Lilibet have not seen their grandfather for four years.
A source said: 'The hope is they can meet their grandfather. But there is no way that can happen if they are chased by paparazzi wherever they go from the moment they step off the plane.'
The family's absence from the UK is reportedly tied to concerns over protection, following reports that taxpayer-funded security was denied after a legal battle last year.
