Mo Salah has shared an adorable glimpse into family life as the former Liverpool FC star posted the first photo with his baby son. Salah welcomed his third child into the world with his wife Magi last month. It was reported Salah returned to the UK for the incredibly special day.
Salah's family life
The Egypt international tied the knot with his long-term partner Magi Sadeq in 2013. They grew up in the same village and also went to Mohamed Eyad Al-Tantawi School together.
The couple share two daughters, Makka, who was born in 2014, and Kayan who was born in 2020 as well as their latest bundle of joy, a son named "Leil" which means "night" in Arabic.
New chapter at Trabzonspor
The forward left the Reds at the end of last season to start a new chapter with Turkish side Trabzonspor. He often shares updates to his followers on Instagram, with insights into his life away from the pitch.
Salah confirmed the news his wife had given birth on September 3. In a recent post, the 34-year-old shared a snap of him in bed with his one-month-old.
Fans and teammates react
The post was liked by 1.8 million people, and hundreds rushed to the comments to send their love and support. One said: "Congratulations" and a second said: "Precious" with a red love heart emoji. A third added: "Beautiful, congratulations." Another said: "Junior Salah."
Former Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones also added a red love heart emoji.
Last month, Salah's sister Rabab also shared a post to mark the birth of her nephew. She shared a photo of a newborn baby's knitted hat, which revealed the name to be "Leil".
President of Trabzonspor Ertuğrul Doğan also confirmed the happy news in a post on X. In a message translated from Turkish, he said: "After the Amed match, we had come abroad together with Onana and Salah. Twins were born to both of them—Onana's twins, and Salah had a baby boy. I congratulate their families and wives."
A Liverpool farewell
Salah's family were spotted at the end of every Liverpool season. He would often take them on the pitch after the final game, joined by his teammates and their families.
In his farewell message to the Reds shared earlier this year, Salah described Liverpool as more than just a football club, calling it a "passion, history, and spirit." He noted that he never imagined how deeply the city and its people would become a part of his life over the last decade.
Salah's sister, Rabab also shared an emotional message earlier this summer. She shared pictures from Anfield on the final game of the Premier League. She said: "I don't know if I'm supposed to be feeling today, but what I am sure of is that it's mixed, intrusive and wandering feelings.
"Pride, love, tension, anger and a lot of worry. It was a long, tiring, beautiful, nice, and difficult journey, all at once, I can't describe my feelings. Thank you for being, still are, and will continue to be, God willing, the pride of me and my children throughout my life."
The message added: "I love you very, very much my little brother who had my hand in his hand when we were young and when he grew up, he travelled when he was 12 years old, I remember my worry and fear that is still there to this day, as always, my feelings for you were different from worry, fear, stress, and thinking about you.
"All of this I was worried about more than the success that I have ever had. Appears and no one knows his background. May God protect you, preserve you, bless you and help you in what is to come, my brother, my life partner and my life partner."
Salah was one of Liverpool's most accomplished players. The Egyptian collected medals in the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, Emirates FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Carabao Cup and FA Community Shield.
Salah flew to Turkey to complete his move over the summer, initially arriving in Istanbul to undergo a medical examination at Acibadem Maslak Hospital. He then flew on to Trabzon, where he was given a stunning welcome by supporters as they gathered with flares, flags and fireworks to greet the Egyptian late into the night.
