Meghan Markle has broken her month-long social media silence to thank Prince Harry and her loved ones for making her 44th birthday “so special”. The Duchess of Sussex posted a photo on Instagram showing her blowing out candles on a flower-adorned cake at an elite Californian restaurant.
In her caption, Meghan wrote: “Blowing out the candles on a beautiful 24 hours, and thanking my husband, friends and family for making it so special. To those of you I don’t know, but who send love every day - thank you so much. Please know I feel it and appreciate it.”
She also praised the culinary experience at @funke_la, describing it as “in the top five meals of my life”. The restaurant, run by chef Evan Funke, is a favourite among celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Michelle Obama, and Beyoncé.
Her lifestyle brand As Ever also shared a birthday message, calling her “the woman behind it all”. Among the celebrity well-wishers was her Suits co-star Abigail Spencer, who posted a heartfelt tribute calling Meghan “champagne in human form”.
