Meghan Markle shared a new picture to her Instagram story just hours after her appearance on Masterchef Australia was aired Down Under on Sunday evening. The 44-year-old filmed her scenes for the show during her visit to Australia with Prince Harry back in April.
In the picture, which she shared to her story rather than her feed, Meghan - holding a yellow coffee cup - looked relaxed in denim jeans and a navy jumper. She accessorised with chocolate brown loafers and a black headband, with her hair styled into a low ponytail. The photo appeared to be taken at a garden centre, with a trolley full of flowers placed next to her.
Masterchef Australia appearance and fan reaction
During the special episode, Meghan gave contestants the task of creating a dish fit for a Duchess by making one seasonal ingredient the focus of their plate. The cooks then had to explain the personal story or memory connected to their chosen produce.
The appearance on Masterchef Australia also comes weeks after Meghan made a return to the UK. On July 10, Meghan, Harry, and their two children, seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet, visited Highgrove House to see King Charles and Queen Camilla. The family returned to the US on July 14.
On an Instagram post shared by @masterchefau, some royal fans expressed displeasure at Meghan's appearance. One commented: "How To Turn Viewers Off The Show...," while another added: "[laughing-face emoji] Bad move Masterchef."
