Liam Gallagher has clashed with Coronation Street star Charlie Lawson in a social media row after the actor criticised Oasis online.
The spat began when Lawson, who played Jim McDonald on the ITV soap, responded to a post on X asking users whether they thought the band was “overhyped” or “genuinely one of the best bands the world has ever seen”.
Lawson replied: “They are distinctly average.”
Gallagher's response
Liam then hit back at the dig, responding: “Just like your acting skills.” His jab had received over 26,000 likes at the time of writing.
Fans joined in on the back-and-forth, with one telling Liam he was “going for everyone today”. He replied: “He’s had it coming for a long time silly old c***.”
When another social media user questioned Lawson's acting skills, Gallagher responded: “Actor in his f***ing dreams.”
Oasis tour sell-out
The spat came after Oasis sold out their upcoming tour, which comes just two years after their comeback series of shows in 2025.
Fans snapped up tickets for all 42 shows — including a run of 11 at Manchester's Etihad Stadium and a six-night residency at Knebworth — across nine sales windows over three days.
Those who got tickets had to pre-register before being randomly selected to receive a unique non-transferable code for an allocated on-sale window.
Announcing the sale was over, Liam wrote: “That’s all folks we have officially sold out no more tickets left congratulations to everyone who got a ticket and to the people who didn’t sneak in f*** it yolo.”
