King Charles Faces 'Trap' Over Archie and Lilibet UK Visit
King Charles 'Trapped' Over Grandchildren Visit

King Charles faces an awkward dilemma if he wants to see his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, during Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's upcoming UK visit, a royal expert has claimed. The monarch has not seen the children for four years, but meeting them would require a reunion with Harry and Meghan, potentially forcing him into a difficult position.

Royal Expert Says King Is 'Trapped'

Speaking to the Daily Express, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams described the King as “trapped” over the situation. He said: “There is a deep rift in the Royal Family as the world knows. King Charles has not seen his grandchildren for four years since Lili was one and naturally wants to.”

Fitzwilliams added: “If he does, which he obviously will, it would be bizarre if Meghan were not with Harry. It would look ridiculous and the King is therefore trapped. He will undoubtedly see them all, or risk being seen as the one perpetuating the rift, which Harry and Meghan caused by their attacks on the royal family.”

First UK Visit for Meghan and Children Since 2022

Next month, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to return to the UK, reportedly bringing their children, Archie and Lilibet, with them. This will be the first time Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet have been in the UK since 2022. Prince Harry has visited the UK numerous times alone, but the reason for bringing his family on this trip remains unconfirmed. Fitzwilliams suggested the move is a way for Meghan to see the King again and potentially heal rifts between the couple and the royals.

It is believed the family will stay at a royal residence during their visit. Few other details are known, but the trip is thought to coincide with the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games, which Harry is expected to attend.
