Catherine, the Princess of Wales, will not step in to reconcile Prince Harry and Prince William amid their ongoing feud, according to reports. The brothers remain estranged and have not met since Harry returned to the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle, in August.
Kate's role in the brothers' relationship
Writer and ally of the Sussexes, Omid Scobie, said in the documentary Harry & Meghan: The Return of the Prince: “There’s always this talk of Kate potentially being the peacekeeper, the one that could bring the two brothers together.”
He added: “If I’ve learned anything over the years from covering them, it’s that Kate has very little to do with that relationship between the brothers.”
William and Catherine's 'old-school' approach
Erin Hill, royal writer at People, said palace insiders have told the outlet that William and Catherine are instead focusing on the future. They have reportedly decided to take a “very old-school royal approach” to Harry and Meghan's return: "Keep calm, carry on, do the job."
“So right now Harry and Meghan, they’re not a priority for them, and they’re very much looking to the future,” she said.
