The Princess of Wales has released a deeply personal video alongside Prince William, providing a significant update on her cancer journey. Kate revealed she has completed a course of chemotherapy treatment and is now focusing on healing and recovery.
In the video, Kate's closeness to William is palpable as they are filmed lying on a beach, laughing and embracing. One shot shows William tenderly stroking Kate's hand while she speaks bravely about her recovery in a voiceover. Kate said: 'This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted as simply loving and being loved.'
The video also features their children, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and Prince George, highlighting the family's support throughout her health battle. Kate described the past nine months as 'incredibly tough' for the family, navigating 'stormy waters and road unknown.'
Kate announced she is looking forward to returning to work with light engagements but emphasised that her recovery is still a long road. 'Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus,' she said. The Princess has been undergoing preventative chemotherapy since March this year.
In a message to others facing cancer, Kate added: 'To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey, I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness can come light, so let that light shine bright.'
