The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the Digger premiere in London last night, where they posed for a group picture with David Beckham and his two youngest sons, Romeo, 24, and Cruz, 21.
David and his sons, dressed in black suits, greeted the royal couple as they joined them for a quick photograph. After posing with the family, William appeared to point to his watch, while Catherine was seen giving Romeo and Cruz a thumbs up.
Long-Standing Friendship
Catherine's gesture could have showcased the couple's bond with the Beckham family, with the friendship dating back years. David and his wife, Victoria, attended William and Catherine's royal wedding back in April 2011.
The former football star previously praised the royal and his estranged younger brother, Prince Harry. Speaking to Esquire, he said: "They're very easy to get along with. They love their sport. They're two people who have grown up in the spotlight and the respect that I have for them, and that people in our country and all over the world have for them, is amazing."
Tribute to Diana
Attending the event, Catherine was reportedly wearing pearl drop earrings that once belonged to her late mother-in-law, Diana, Princess of Wales. William and Catherine also spoke with Tom Cruise at the premiere.
Same-Day Memoir Release
The couple's latest public appearance comes on the same day that William's uncle, Earl Spencer, released his memoir, Swan Song. The memoir, which saw an extract published last week by the Daily Mail, offers insight into his late sister's life, including her unhappy marriage to the now-King Charles.
The beloved royal died just weeks after her 36th birthday in 1997, with her death taking place due to injuries she sustained from a car crash in Paris.
