Jiffy celebrates daughter Grace's wedding with family

Wales dual-code rugby legend Jonathan 'Jiffy' Davies celebrated the wedding of his daughter Grace over the weekend, sharing pictures from the special day on his Instagram account.

The proud dad posted several images, including the bride ahead of the ceremony in her wedding dress and a selfie-style shot of the pair. Another picture showed Grace and her new husband standing at the back exit of a London bus, with a sign above their heads reading "celebrating the happy couple".

Family in attendance

Also pictured were Jiffy's wife Jay and his mother, Diana, with the three posing for a photograph together. Accompanying the posts on his Stories, Jiffy wrote: "Amazing day, such a proud dad giving my daughter Grace away."

Jiffy has four children - Scott, Grace and Geena - from his first marriage to Karen, who died from cancer in 1997 when Grace was three. He is also father to Molly from his marriage to second wife Helen, and step-dad to Deia.

Previous comments on family life

The Wales rugby legend spoke to WalesOnline in 2024 about life with his children now grown up. "It's important they go their own way," he said. "You try and help them along the way. I'm proud of them. I'm very proud to see the way they've turned out."

"Sometimes it's been difficult and it's been tough for everyone. But I'm proud of them and try to catch up as much as we can. They've got their own lives now."

Fundraising and rugby criticism

In recent months, the 63-year-old has been back on his bike raising funds for Velindre Cancer Care, where he has served as president since 2009 after joining as a patron in 2007 following the loss of his father Len and Karen to cancer. In August, he completed another cycle from Cardiff to Swansea's Bracelet Bay for Jiffy's Cancer 50 Challenge.

The former fly-half has also been vocal in his criticism of the current WRU board and their plans to reduce the number of professional clubs from four to three, offering his services to help Welsh rugby in any way he can.
