Holly Willoughby's X-rated plea for 'normal' genitals in Lily Phillips chat
Holly Willoughby's X-rated plea for 'normal' genitals in chat

Holly Willoughby has delivered a surprisingly blunt verdict on the way women's bodies are portrayed in pornography.

The former This Morning presenter, 45, was speaking to adult star Lily Phillips on her YouTube show Holly Willoughby Together when the conversation turned to cosmetic surgery, body image and the adult industry. Phillips, 24, discussed having a 'designer vagina' after entering the adult industry, explaining that she underwent the procedure when she was 19.

Phillips on surgery regrets

She admitted she 'regretted [the surgery] slightly', saying she could have been 'that representation in the adult industry for the big labia community'. The conversation prompted Holly to question why Phillips had felt the need to undergo the surgery in the first place.

Phillips explained that it had been for 'personal' reasons and linked it to her own insecurities when she began working on adult sites. She also suggested that 'watching porn' may have influenced how she viewed her own body.

Holly's blunt verdict

That led Holly to make her feelings about the portrayal of women's bodies in adult films very clear.

'This is the problem, I think because… women watching porn are only seeing certain vaginas and vulvas and they're going: “Oh they're all meant to be beautiful”… then you see your own and you're like “Oh my gosh”,' when looking at a little 'extra skin'.

She then delivered the line that summed up her biggest criticism of the industry.

'It's actually what women's bodies look like. My big issue with porn is where I just go: “Please just show normal f******”'

Phillips agreed with the sentiment and told Holly that she 'tries to be open and honest' with her audience about having undergone the surgery.

Broader conversation

The discussion formed part of Holly's new series, which has seen her move into more personal conversations with well-known guests and figures from different worlds.

Phillips became widely known after a stunt in which she slept with 101 men in a day, subsequently building a career as an adult content creator. Her conversation with Holly also touched on the realities of working in the adult industry, including the downsides and controversies surrounding the profession.

The presenter has previously spoken openly about embarrassing moments from her television career. In another episode, she revisited an incident from her days presenting children's television in the early 00s, when her top opened while she was dancing with Blue. Holly joked that the mishap ultimately saw her appear on Page 3 of The Sun.
