Helen Skelton is busy filming a new series of Lost and Found in the Lakes while her regular BBC show, Morning Live, is on a summer hiatus. The 43-year-old presenter took to Instagram to share clips and photos of her time working on the programme.

In a post, Skelton wrote: "Walked. Talked and filmed. Great views. Good company, topped off by bargain flapjack and an honesty box coffee stop. Back out filming for @lostandfoundlakes … Trying to reunite people with their treasured possessions. If you have lost anything in the Lake District let us know - don’t dm me. Link in bio. We will try and help. Equally if you have found anything let us know if we can get it back to its owner xx."
She added: "Wore @varley missed @mrdanwalker for glorious nonsense chat but great reserve @daz156 Sophie, Kate and Shirley x."

Show Background
Lost and Found in the Lakes first aired in early 2025 and has been popular, with a second series released earlier this year. The third series is now in production, and Banijay UK has confirmed it will be extended to 20 episodes. The show follows a team of divers and detectorists who search the Lake District for lost possessions.
An official synopsis states: "Throughout the series, Helen will work with a team of experts from divers to detectorists and magnet fishers, to track down all manner of lost items that are scattered around the lakebeds and forests of this stunning location. They'll take what they find back to base, either to reunite them with their delighted owners or to start the process of working out who the items might belong to. To do this, they enlist the help of a specialist social media detective, who will create online campaigns to help reunite owners with their lost possessions."
