Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly preparing to leave the UK just two months after relocating back to the country. With the rift with the Royal Family showing no signs of easing, it appears Harry may be returning to the US before the year draws to a close.
It has been reported that the Sussexes plan to spend Thanksgiving in the US. A source told RadarOnline.com that Meghan has been “missing California deeply” after relocating back to the UK and believes the couple will spend “at least a few months” back in the US over the Christmas and Thanksgiving season.
Meghan's Holiday Plans
The informant said: "Meghan had been missing California deeply and was already making arrangements to reconnect with her social circle during the holidays."
The Duchess is particularly eager to spend time with her mother, who remains based in the Los Angeles area.
Thanksgiving and Christmas in the US
It is believed the Sussexes will be spending the festive period in the US. "Her and Harry's holiday arrangements for Thanksgiving will largely depend on where Meghan's mother prefers to celebrate, and it means Harry is already ready to quit the UK for at least a few months as he will also most likely be spending Christmas in the US with Meghan, her mother and her friends," added the informant.
Another source told The Sunday Times that the couple does not anticipate receiving an invitation to spend Christmas with the Royal Family.
No Royal Christmas Invitation Expected
“They won’t be having Christmas with the royal family. How could that even work? They know it would be too awkward and too difficult. They also know they’re not going to be invited, and they’re not waiting for an invitation.”
Last week, the couple undertook their first joint engagement since returning to the UK, visiting several locations in Nottingham. The city holds special significance for the pair, having hosted their first joint public appearance following their engagement announcement in 2017.
