Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly heading for a "collision course" with the Palace after sources suggested they have no plans to become "private citizens". The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to the UK last month, six years after departing the country for a fresh, financially independent existence beyond their royal responsibilities.

Harry and Meghan's homecoming triggered speculation over whether they would continue as non-working royals. Several days following their arrival, Buckingham Palace released a letter - the first official public statement - to Government officials and the military concerning the pair's formal status as non-working royals.
The correspondence was sent by Buckingham Palace's most senior official, the lord chamberlain, Richard Benyon.
Palace letter outlines private citizen status
One section stated: "In short, their position is akin to private citizens with commercial and charitable interests."
The Sussexes' spokesperson revealed they "were a little surprised not to have been told about this in advance," though royal insiders maintained the duo were informed prior to the announcement being made public, reports the Express.
Source reveals intentions for charity work
Now, a source close to them has revealed fresh details about their intentions in Britain. They told Woman & Home magazine that the pair have "no intention" of "fading into obscurity".
They said: "It is their [Harry and Meghan's] belief that they have a great deal to offer charities and good causes that could benefit from their support. If the King thought that issuing the letter would simply make them fade away, he would be deeply disappointed."
The insider further stated: "There is no way, for example, that Harry will turn his back on the WellChild charity or walk away from his Invictus Games initiative."
"It is no exaggeration that this is likely to put them on a collision course with the Palace".
