Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly been keeping a record of their correspondence with Buckingham Palace since their return to the UK. A source claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are doing so for their own "protection".

The insider told Closer magazine: "Meghan and Harry don’t want to react to every problem, but they say they’ve learned the hard way that they need to keep a record of what’s being said and agreed to by people within The Firm, because the goal posts constantly change."
They added the Sussexes "say the only way to keep track properly is to catalogue and save everything".
Context of royal residence withdrawal
It comes after the Palace withdrew an offer for Harry to stay at a royal residence during a trip to Britain in the summer. Buckingham Palace insisted the Duke had not accepted the invitation in time.
The Sussexes were reportedly "a little bit surprised" after The Firm sent officials a letter clarifying that Harry and Meghan remain non-working members of the Royal Family.
