Harry and Meghan 'expect royals to let them back in'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly expecting the Royal Family to "let them back in", according to a source. The couple moved back to the UK last month after six years in the United States.

The family, including their two children, are said to be living in the Cotswolds, although their exact location has not been confirmed.

Source claims couple have 'nothing else going for them'

A source told the Daily Mail that Harry believes the royals "need him" and that he and Meghan should be brought back into the fold. The source said: "Look, they expect to be let back in. Harry expects they [the Royal Family] need him. He and Meghan have nothing else going for them. They've burned every bridge in America."

The source added that the couple appeared to have exhausted all opportunities in the US.

Friend says couple were prepared for outcome

A friend of the couple also told the publication that Meghan and Harry were "expecting it" in relation to being allowed to return. The friend said: "He is not surprised. Remember, this is a couple who had briefing after briefing after briefing against them from parts of the establishment."

The friend added: "They had really prepared themselves for this outcome before they came back. They were always expecting it."

King Charles confirms couple are 'private citizens'

The comments come days after King Charles confirmed that the couple are no longer working royals and are now "private citizens". The statement, released on September 7, less than two weeks after their return, noted that they are "no longer working members of the Royal Family", that "their position is akin to private citizens", and that "their styles as His and Her Royal Highness remain in abeyance and are not used."
