Fans rage over Meghan Markle's new 'surprise' promise

Royal fans have been left raging after Meghan Markle shared a new update on social media. The Duchess of Sussex posted a new photograph on her brand, As Ever's, Instagram account, teasing "new surprises" in the future.

Fans question the cooking scene

Meghan was shown in a different kitchen than her usual one in Montecito, cooking in a pot over a gas stove. She was dressed in a black outfit and a black and white checked apron. But the majority of fans noticed that the stove appeared to be turned off.

One user wrote on X: "The latest instalment [Meghan Markle]: 1. Find another drab, black outfit and don an equally boring apron, to create the illusion that you know how to cook.

"2. Maniacally stir an empty pot which is sitting on a gas stove that isn't even turned on. 3. Overlook these painfully obvious details before uploading for the whole world to mock."

Another user agreed, saying: "It's embarrassing."

Public reaction and date night

A third one commented: "Her desperation to sell herself to the public is a joke to everyone." A fourth one opined: "She did that on purpose to gain reaction."

It comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted enjoying a date night in Oxfordshire last Thursday. Harry and Meghan, who moved back to the UK in August, looked all loved up as they were pictured holding hands while visiting a Cotswolds pub called The Falkland Arms.

In pictures published by The Sun, Harry and Meghan were seen entering the Falkland Arms pub, which is close to Great Tew in Oxfordshire. According to the newspaper, the duchess opted for a £18.25 portion of gluten-free beer-battered haddock and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce. Harry went for a £17.95 chicken, ham and leek pie with seasonal greens, creamy mashed potatoes and gravy.

Now, new reports have accused the duchess of "orchestrating" the photo-op to send a message.
