Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has claimed he was confronted by a police officer who said he had 'beef with David Platt' after previously speaking about them on his podcast.

Back in February, the actor, who has been playing his Weatherfield alter-ego in the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, since 2000, told how he was pulled over by the police - before they realised he was 'massively famous'.
At the time, he was speaking on the On the Sofa podcast, which he co-hosts with Corrie co-star Ben Price, and their former castmate Colson Smith, and was heard talking about how he had stopped by the police while out in his car, with them telling him to "drive a little bit easy" as they had noticed he was "a bit all over the road".

Months on, and Jack has revealed he came across the same officer, again while out in his car. "We're in traffic, no one's going anywhere. All of a sudden, blue lights," he said on the latest episode of On the Sofa.
Jack explained how the cars stuck were trying to create a clear path for the emergency vehicle, but while passing through, the officer recognised him again.
"He goes past me, all of a sudden he brakes. And then his reverse lights come on. He's still got the blue lights on and he reverses back and he goes like that," Jack explained, demonstrating the signal and saying: "It's the universal signal for window down."
The soap star continued: "He went, 'you spoke about me pulling over on your podcast', and then he said, 'and you said that I realised you were really famous and I let you off because you were famous.'"
Jack said he denied saying he was 'let off' because of his fame, but he went on: "And he's going, 'I've got beef with David Platt!' Bearing in mind he's on his way to a f***ing emergency and still telling me this!"
Ben, who plays Corrie's Nick Tilsley, then remarked; "And bearing in mind he's kind of tried to pretend you're not famous and then gone, 'David Platt!'"
It left Jack listening back to the podcast himself, and he then concluded: "I never say, 'because I'm famous he lets me off', but Ben kinda hints at the fact, in a joking way."
