Brooklyn Beckham has broken his silence on social media for the first time since missing his father David Beckham’s knighthood ceremony, but his latest post has sparked fresh backlash. The 26-year-old content creator shared a video on Instagram demonstrating how to make his signature smash burgers while promoting his hot-sauce brand.
The post came days after David Beckham, 50, was officially knighted at Windsor Castle, a ceremony attended by wife Victoria and their children Romeo, Cruz and Harper Seven. Brooklyn was notably absent, and his failure to acknowledge the milestone online has fuelled speculation of a family rift.
Fans quickly took to the comments section of Brooklyn’s cooking video to criticise him. One wrote: “No one cares mate, are you going to say well done to your dad?” Another asked: “Why don’t you come to support your dad?” However, some defended him, with one commenter saying: “Let this man live. You know nothing about his family.”
According to reports, tensions between Brooklyn, his parents and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham have been escalating for years. A source claimed Brooklyn told his family he wanted “no contact” and learned of his father’s knighthood through the media.
