Andrew's rumoured girlfriend breaks silence on romance

Aliba Bellingham, the woman rumoured to be dating Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has denied any romantic connection, saying they are merely acquaintances who "get on well".

Andrew, who now lives at the Sandringham estate after being evicted from Royal Lodge over his connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, is reportedly back on the dating scene. Bellingham, a British socialite and keen horsewoman known in Norfolk circles, is the sister of Conservative peer Lord Henry Bellingham.

She is said to have known Andrew since childhood, with her godmother being the late Diana, Princess of Wales's mother, Frances Shand Kydd. Bellingham has been seen visiting Andrew's Norfolk home, Marsh Farm.

Denial of Romantic Link

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, Bellingham said: "We hang out from time to time and talk about horses and dogs – that's what we have in common. We get on well. He loves his horses."

She added: "I'm not the sort of person to dwell on things in another person's past. I think Andrew has found Norfolk to be a very welcoming area and that he'll enjoy living here."

Bellingham, a divorced mother of two, continued: "But there's no question of me being a 'girlfriend'; we're just acquaintances. I think the rumours began when an American journalist got to hear I'd been to tea with him, and then made two plus two equal five."

Childhood Connections

Her brother Henry recalled that he and his sister were playmates with Andrew during childhood, as well as with Princess Anne and Prince Edward. He told the publication: "Andrew was a friend of my family during our childhood days. So, in a way my sister has known him all her life."

Andrew was previously married to Sarah Ferguson for ten years, until their divorce was finalised in 1996. The couple have two children, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and are grandparents to five little ones. The former couple have been described as the "happiest divorced couple", having lived together at Royal Lodge despite their divorce.
