Wayne Rooney has addressed speculation that he could be entering the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! jungle this year. Appearing on This Morning on Thursday, September 24, the former Manchester United player responded to rumours that he is among the famous faces in the mix for the 2026 series.
Presenter Ben Shepherd raised the subject, noting that Coleen Rooney has an inside track on the show after taking part. Shepherd said: "And obviously, we're all excited about the new series. You've [Coleen] got an inside track on what it's like. You're looking fit and healthy so you're ready for the shower shot in your swimming trunks Wayne. Is it something you're considering?"
Rooney's five-word response
Wayne replied: "I've been asked all the time as well and there's been rumours for the past few years and there is again this year," before adding: "Have to wait and see."
As presenters Ben and Cat Deeley joked about his "vague" response, Wayne continued: "I always like a challenge, life's a challenge."
Coleen's jungle history
Coleen Rooney took part in I'm A Celebrity in 2024 and finished as runner-up behind McFly's Danny Jones. Wayne and Coleen appeared on This Morning to promote their new reality show The Real Rooneys, which has debuted on Disney Plus.
