It has been nearly three weeks since Cach Mirjah Mercer and Toni Laites made history by winning Love Island series 12. Cach became the first Casa Amor boy to take the crown, while Toni became the first American Islander to join and win the British series. The couple left the villa besotted with one another, and have since been busy with press, TV interviews, and appearances.
However, their time together is about to be interrupted. Toni, who lives in Las Vegas, must return to the US as her visa is set to expire. The couple will soon transition from being together constantly to a long-distance relationship. Cach admitted it is 'upsetting' but said he would fly to Vegas to see her if he misses her too much.
Speaking exclusively to heatworld, Cach said: 'It's upsetting. She's got me on a leash at the moment, and I'm happy. I'd stay by her side every day of the week if I could, but I also know that she needs some time to see her family and her friends and just go back to normal life to an extent. But, she'll be back and if I miss her too much I'll just jump on a flight and go see her.'
When asked about a potential trip to Vegas, Cach added: 'She wants to show me around Vegas and show me the ropes – she's always talking about how amazing it is. If she's that interested, then I'm that interested.'
Toni and Cach first connected during Casa Amor, hitting it off immediately. Their relationship faced a test when Toni chose Harrison Solomon at the next recoupling, but she later returned to Cach, solidifying their bond and leading to their win.
