Tom Hiddleston was reportedly lined up to appear in the second series of Celebrity Traitors but had to drop out at the last minute due to a scheduling clash. The Avengers star, a self-professed fan of the show, was said to be 'gutted' to miss out.
Hiddleston previously described Traitors as 'maybe the best television I’ve seen' during a Radio 2 appearance. He expressed interest in being a faithful, calling it 'an interesting detective exercise'.
Filming for the new series is underway, with Claudia Winkleman returning as host. The confirmed celebrity line-up includes Richard E. Grant, Michael Sheen, comedians Joanne McNally, Joe Lycett, James Acaster, and Romesh Ranganathan with Rob Beckett, as well as Leigh-Anne Pinnock, James Blunt, Jerry Hall, and Ross Kemp.
