Strictly Come Dancing host Johannes Radebe has revealed he was in tears during the first live show of the series, which co-host Emma Willis described as a "baptism of fire".
Speaking to Ellie Taylor on It Takes Two, the former professional dancer admitted he became emotional during rehearsals, as he missed the chance to dance with a celebrity this year.
"In rehearsal, seeing them all come down in their outfits, knowing what they're dancing that week, what they had to go through in the past two weeks, I was just like, 'Ugh, I miss that.' But I've got partners with me, so it's fine," he said.
Hosts reflect on chaotic first show
Josh Widdicombe, who joined Johannes and Emma Willis as hosts this year, also spoke about the upcoming first elimination. No contestant left the show this week, but one will be eliminated next Sunday.
Asked how he felt about the elimination, Josh said: "I feel really bad. I feel terrible already. Do you know what, I think I'm just going to do the Saturday show this week, and leave the other two to do the Sunday."
He added: "Last week, after the show, it was just joyous, everyone was really happy, and then Jojo went to us, 'Wait till next week.'"
Emma and Josh on nerves and backlash
Emma Willis admitted the conversation about the upcoming exit made her nervous: "I don't think I actually really thought about that until you've just brought it up, and you've just said how nervous you are, and now I'm like oh."
Josh also appeared to reference the online criticism he has faced over his presenting performance, with critics pointing out one occasion where he missed his cue. He quipped: "It was incredible. It's been very low-key since, no one's talked to me about it."
