Strictly Come Dancing viewers believe they caught Katya Jones making an apparent remark about Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb during Saturday evening's live broadcast. Lawrence, known for his portrayal of Mackenzie Boyd in the ITV soap, made his Strictly debut with professional partner Jowita Przystał as the BBC dancing contest properly commenced.
The duo performed a Paso Doble, with their routine securing a total of 20 points from the judging panel. Craig Revel-Horwood awarded the pair four points and appeared unimpressed by what he'd witnessed, labelling sections of the performance as "very square". Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas each offered the couple five points, while Anton Du Beke contributed six. Shirley, nevertheless, discovered much to appreciate and highlighted Lawrence's "opening line" for particular commendation.
Katya's apparent reaction
However, it was a response away from the judges' table which swiftly captured the attention of certain Strictly enthusiasts. Katya, who is partnered this series with social media personality John Nellis, could be seen in the balcony seating during the programme. At one moment, viewers thought they spotted the professional dancer turn towards fellow pro Aleksandra Isaeva and silently mouth the word "fit", reports Wales Online.
There was no audible comment from Katya, meaning viewers were left trying to work out exactly what she had said. The incident quickly sparked discussion on X, with one viewer questioning: "Did Katya say 'fit' after Lawrence's dance?" Another posted: "Haha Katya mouthing 'fit' after Lawrence's dance."

A third observer questioned whether others had spotted Katya's reaction, while another speculated she had remarked either "well fit" or "he's fit". Whether those were Katya's actual words remains unconfirmed, though numerous viewers evidently shared the excitement surrounding Lawrence's first appearance.
One admirer declared the actor was "THE BEST THING THAT'S EVER HAPPENED", while another confessed they were "obsessed" with his routine. Lawrence's participation in Strictly coincides with his Emmerdale character taking a brief absence from the village.
