Six-time Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy has revealed the one reality TV show he would love to take part in - and he has already decided which role he would want to play.
The cycling legend made the admission while taking part in Arnold Clark's Stars in Cars social media series, hosted by Ryan Wilson. Sir Chris joined Ryan for a drive as they tackled a series of light-hearted questions designed to reveal a different side to some of the famous faces appearing on the series.
'You have got to be a Traitor'
When asked which reality TV programme he would choose if he had the chance to appear on one, Sir Chris didn't hesitate. He said: "I think there is only one that I'd like to go on. The Traitors."
However, it seems the Olympic legend wouldn't be interested in playing it safe on the BBC hit show. When Ryan asked whether he would rather be a Faithful or a Traitor, Sir Chris chose the latter. "Oh, you have got to be a Traitor," he replied.
Celebrity series heading to the Highlands
His revelation comes as fans prepare for another star-studded series, which sees celebrities descend on the Scottish Highlands to take part in a game of deception, betrayal, and mind games. The Traitors sees a group of contestants split into two with the Faithfuls and the Traitors. The Traitors must secretly 'murder' their fellow players without being discovered, while the Faithfuls attempt to identify and eliminate them during the tense round-table banishments.
The second celebrity series features 21 famous faces, with the line-up including Maya Jama, Joe Lycett, Richard E Grant, James Blunt, and James Acaster. Scottish actress Sharon Rooney will also star in the show, as well as Amol Rajan, Bella Ramsey, Jerry Hall, Joanne McNally, Julie Hesmondhalgh, King Kenny, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Michael Sheen, Miranda Hart, Myha'la, Professor Hannah Fry, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Ross Kemp, and Sebastian Croft.
Tour de 4 charity event
While Sir Chris won't be among this year's contestants, his comments suggest he'd have no trouble embracing the back-stabbing and deception if he ever got the chance. The Stars in Cars appearance came as part of the launch of this year's Tour de 4, the charity cycling event the Olympic cyclist launched last year.
Tour de 4 aims to challenge perceptions around living with stage four cancer and raise vital funds for cancer charities across the UK. Arnold Clark is once again an official supporter of the event, which takes place in Glasgow on Sunday, September 6. Last year's inaugural event raised more than £3 million, with Sir Chris continuing to use his platform to raise awareness of living with stage four cancer and support cancer charities across the country.
