Former Coronation Street legend Sean Wilson has delightedly revealed he's married as he shared a string of loved-up photos from his big day.
The actor played Martin Platt in the ITV soap for 20 years from 1985 to 2005, and is one of the former husbands of Weatherfield icon, Gail Platt.
Martin and his family emigrated to New Zealand in 2018, and he paid one final visit to Weatherfield before his departure to make his peace with David, who was upset that his dad was leaving the country.
Wedding announcement
It seems actor-turned-cheesemaker Sean is happier than ever, as he announced he's tied the knot with his girlfriend, Carol Hammond, in a secret ceremony after seven years of dating.
He shared the happy news on his Facebook page on Wednesday (July 22), writing: "Guess what we did this weekend…A July wedding." Sean added a string of images from the special occasion to his post, including the couple walking out of their ceremony and being showered with confetti, as well as the newlyweds sharing a kiss.
"Brought me my gorgeous Mrs Wilson… We had a Gospel choir. And a church full of legendary (real) friends…" he continued. "If we did it all again, it couldn't be better."
And the happy couple were flooded with congratulatory messages. One said: "Congratulations to you both, fab photos." Another commented: "Congratulations Mr & Mrs Wilson. Wishing you both many many years of happiness." A third shared: "Congratulations you lovely couple - wishing you many happy years together." Another added: "Aww congratulations. You both look amazing. Hope you had a beautiful day."
