Ruby Wax was seen sharing a touching moment with Aitch's sister Gracie after becoming the fifth celebrity to leave the I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! jungle. The comedian, 71, checked into a five-star Marriott hotel in Surfers Paradise and was greeted by the families of her fellow campmates.
As she stepped out of her taxi, Ruby immediately approached Aitch's family, who were wearing T-shirts bearing the rapper's name. Gracie, 16, stepped forward and the pair held hands as they spoke. The meeting came after Aitch, 25, had moved Ruby to tears in the jungle by speaking lovingly of his younger sister, who has Down's syndrome.
In camp, Aitch had said of Gracie: 'They’re the best people in the world. Obviously everyone would say this about their siblings but, forget that, she’s my sister, she is the sickest person I’ve ever met.' He also performed a song he wrote about her, with proceeds going to the Down's Syndrome Association.
Fans expressed shock at Ruby's exit, with many taking to social media to voice their disbelief. Singer Paloma Faith commented on Instagram: 'WTF she was surely going to win?' Ruby told hosts Ant and Dec: 'I was in another land, it was fantasy land... this is family, and I’m sad I lost them.' She tipped social media star Angryginge to win the competition.
