Ross Kemp paranoid in Celebrity Traitors after hat 'kill'

Ross Kemp is already the most paranoid celebrity in the new Celebrity Traitors series. The EastEnders star, known for his tough-guy image from facing gangs around the world, was convinced Bella Ramsey had “killed me in plain site” during the first mission when she placed a hat on his head.

Hat incident sparks paranoia

The celebrities were tasked with finding money hidden in crates submerged in a lake and on a pirate ship. When they secured the last batch of cash before the ship exploded, Bella plonked the hat on Kemp's head.

“You didn't just kill me did you?” he barked at her. “My guard is very much up, people offering me a drink or talking to me in a slightly odd way. At the moment I'm feeling pretty paranoid.”

Another strange encounter

Later, Ross jumped out of his skin when Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock rubbed his arm in an affectionate way. “Another weird one just happened she rubbed me on the arm,” he gossiped. “I'm gonna go ask her.”

But Leigh-Anne wasn't impressed with his paranoia and screamed: “Oh my God what!”

Jerry Hall's family advantage

Elsewhere on the new series, Jerry Hall is channelling famous sleuths in her family to give her a Traitors advantage. Mick Jagger's glam ex said: “I think people often underestimate me, but all the men in my family were law enforcement officers, and my uncle was a Texas ranger. He caught Bonnie & Clyde. Beneath this damn blonde lies a smart brunette.”

Hall was hoping not to leave early so she could “wear of all my fabulous outfits at least.” To which chivalrous James Blunt responded: “If you go early, I can wear your outfits.”

Celebrity Traitors continues on BBC One.
