Prince George turns 13: Kensington Palace releases new birthday photo
Prince George's 13th birthday photo released by Palace

Kensington Palace has shared a new photograph of Prince George to mark his 13th birthday. The young prince looks grown-up in the image, smiling at the camera. The never-before-seen photograph was taken at Kensington Palace by Matt Porteous, who frequently photographs the family, just after Trooping the Colour last month.

In the picture, Prince George appears relaxed with his hands in his pockets, his top shirt button undone, and his tie removed following the Trooping festivities. The caption reads: "Happy 13th Birthday, George!" alongside a party popper emoji.

Private celebrations and upcoming changes

The family will celebrate George’s birthday privately today. He is expected to spend the day with his parents, Prince William and Princess Catherine, and his siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The day is also likely to be a time for William and Catherine to reminisce about George’s birth 13 years ago.
