Reality television star Porsha Williams has declared that at 44 years old, she has finally mastered the art of dating, just one month after revealing she is romantically involved with a woman.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta veteran opened up about her personal journey during a panel discussion at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Saturday. Williams, whose divorce from Simon Guobadia was finalised in June, offered heartfelt advice to an anxious fan in her 30s about navigating the dating world.
Williams admitted it took her until age 44 to truly understand relationships. "I'm a hopeless romantic, child. When I find you, you like me, I like you. You're going to do this, I'm going to do that, and we're going to be together, right?" she shared with the audience.
The media personality advised removing anxiety from the dating process and trying different approaches to find someone who genuinely matches your energy and life stage. "Take the anxiousness out of it," Williams urged. "You're going to have to do something different to find someone who's going to truly match where you are."
Love Life Updates and Personal Growth
During the 'Getting Lucky At The Love Hotel' panel, Williams provided further insight into her current romantic situation. "I'm dating, but I have started to focus on someone," she revealed. "I hope that this could be something, but we'll see. You know, still just dating."
Last month at CultureCon in New York City, Williams made headlines when she disclosed that she's been seeing a woman. "Of the people I am talking to now… he is nice - and she is nice," the TV personality stated at the time.
Williams explained that she's been working with her therapist to navigate these new relationships, acknowledging that she's having difficulty opening up to partners who aren't narcissists. "I realized if you want something different, you have to be different," she reflected. "I have to soften up a bit. I have to not expect a whole lot of elaborate things... I have to expect someone to call me out from time to time."
Moving Forward After Divorce
Williams' personal life has undergone significant changes recently. She tied the knot with Simon Guobadia in November 2022 but filed for divorce in February 2024. In June, it was revealed that Guobadia had been deported to Nigeria after being detained by ICE for four months.
In a statement on Instagram, Williams described the situation as "disheartening" but emphasised her focus on moving forward with her family.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight at BravoCon, Williams expressed feeling "free" following her split and enjoying the dating scene. "I've been enjoying myself. Dating has just been beautiful for me. I'm just loving on me the most right now," she shared. "My nervous system is just calm."
Williams did confirm she has "someone special" in her life currently but chose not to disclose their identity. This follows her previous marriage to former NFL player Kordell Stewart from 2011 to 2013.
The reality star concluded her dating advice with a memorable warning: "Date knowing who you are and knowing what you want, and if you see a red flag, run!"
