Paddy McGuinness has claimed he knows who will win Celebrity Traitors, tipping Maya Jama for victory. Speaking on his BBC Radio 2 show, the presenter shared his theory that the Love Island host's warm personality will keep the Faithfuls from suspecting her.
Maya is currently one of the three Traitors alongside Hannah Fry and James Acaster, with Hannah the latest to draw suspicion following Richard E Grant's early exit.
Paddy's winning prediction
Paddy, who has worked with Maya before, said: "Folks, hot off the press, Maya Jama is going to win it. That's all I'm saying, I've worked with Maya loads of times over the years and she is so lovely that you'd genuinely go, 'It can't be her! It can't be her!' There you go, get down the bookies."
His comments come as the show prepares for a new episode featuring a deadly game of hide-and-seek. Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan and Ross Kemp will take part in the challenge, alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who is immune from murder thanks to a special key - though the Traitors do not know this.
Paddy's frustration over challenge choices
Paddy also voiced frustration at the Traitors' decisions during the challenge, questioning why Miranda Hart had not been targeted. He said: "How are they not, The Traitors, getting rid of Miranda [Hart] because Miranda is brilliant. And I watched it the other night and I'm like, 'She absolutely knows!'"
He added: "And you're like, they're putting the rest of them in the woods, Rob Beckett! I'd leave him in there [the Castle], he's no threat Rob, he's good as gold Miranda is the one." Paddy also suggested James Blunt, Michael Sheen and Sebastian Croft should have been chosen, calling them "the threats".
So far, the Faithfuls have been shocked to discover Maya is a Traitor. Former Coronation Street star Julie Hesmondhalgh praised her on BBC Radio 5 Live, saying: "She's just such an incredible person and so kind, actually and warm. She's playing the game like a gooden. I don't like it when Traitors win, but I might even make an exception for Maya."
Richard was the first contestant to be banished after openly admitting he was a Traitor, making show history. Myha'la was the second to be banished, followed by Julie. Amol Rajan was the first to be murdered, followed by Bella Ramsey. Celebrity Traitors continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
