The Daily Express launched a poll asking readers whether the Netflix show should win an Emmy award. The poll ran from 4:20pm on July 15 until 7am on July 20. A total of 4,039 voted "no", meaning they do not think the cooking show should win an award. Just 72 people thought the show should win an award, and 45 people said they didn't know. This is likely to be a blow to Meghan, suggesting that people do not consider her show worthy of such an award.
Show's Reception and Ratings
The Netflix cooking show, which released two seasons and a festive special episode last year, was controversial, with some fans loving it and others being very critical. The show also received lower-than-anticipated ratings, with Netflix currently having no plans to work on a third season of the show. This, for some, has made the Emmy nomination news even more surprising.
Emmy Ceremony and Competition
Whether or not she wins the Emmy will not be revealed until October 30 at a ceremony at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. "With Love, Meghan" is up against some great programmes in the category, including NBC's George to the Rescue, Hallmark's The Motherhood, The Wizard of Paws and A Different Breed.
